Gap ended the session at $14.74 Wednesday, after six straight days of gains

Investors are currently sidelined due to the Thanksgiving holiday but will return to their desks today. Looking back over the previous session Wednesday: generally flat but with a slight bullish bias, Gap Inc ranged between $14.49 and $14.85 before closing higher at $14.74.

The US stock market is set to reconvene later today following Thanksgiving in 3 hours time. S&P 500 went up to 4,027.26 for a 0.59% change. Gap's gains were in line with the Consumer Cyclical sector which was up 0.566% as a whole.

Gap hit a significant low of $8.21 around a month ago, but has since recovered 78.68%. So far in 2022, it has been under-performing the S&P 500 by 0.75%. The company has a market cap of $5.36 billion with an average daily volume of 10.87 million shares. Gap last reported revenue of $4 billion with an EPS of 71 cents.

A look at other consumer discretionary stocks also showed bullish price action as Tesla traded at $183.2 after closing Wednesday's trading day at $169.91 (up 7.82%). Walt Disney traded at $98.88 after closing Wednesday's trading day at $96.21 (up 2.78%). Alibaba traded at $78.5 after closing Wednesday's trading day at $76 (up 3.3%).
