Risk-on mood pushes the Nasdaq 0.99% higher

Trading is currently halted for Thanksgiving but will resume today. Meanwhile, here is a recap of Wednesday: after closing at 11,300 Wednesday, Nasdaq maintained a strong bullish bias that helped the stock close higher at 11,300. However, market bears ensured the the Nasdaq topped out at 11,300 and that by the end of the session, the market had marked out a distinct 11,175 to 11,300 range.

The Nasdaq shows positive signs, other assets are also on par: S&P 500 is trading around 4,027.26 after ending Wednesday's session at 4,003.58 (up 0.59% today). Notably, FTSE rose 0.29% Wednesday and closed at 7,466.6.

At the same time, Hang Seng is down to 17,574, losing 87.32 points, after ending the previous session around 17,661.

Having set a significant high of 15,871 a month ago, the Nasdaq is trading 8.26% lower.
