The Nasdaq index sheds 86.76 points (-0.74%) as market bears take the reigns

Friday at a glance: overall, Nasdaq shed around 86.76 points or 0.74% and ended Friday's session at 11,631.

In the meantime, negative performances are also seen in other markets, CAC slides down 1.43% Friday and closed at 7,025.72. Dow Jones slips 1.19% Friday and closed at 32,247. DAX is down to 14,768, losing 198.9 points, after ending the previous session around 14,967.

The index has been trending lower for about a month. The Nasdaq hit a significant low of 10,200 around 2 months ago, but has since recovered 14.73%.
