The Nasdaq retreats 24.31 points from 9 months high

After ending Thursday at 12,700, Nasdaq rallied to 13,000 yesterday, hitting its highest point in 9 months. It later lost 24.31 points and closed at 12,976.

On the flip side, data from United States concerning Core Durable Goods Orders was released yesterday at 12:30 UTC. Newly published figures emphasized continued decline from last month's figure of 0.3% to -0.2% this month.

Meanwhile, United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Apr) released yesterday at 12:30 UTC with a figure of 0.4, while the previous figure was 0.3. United States CFTC Crude Oil speculative net positions came out at 193,100.

Other markets are also showing gains as S&P 500 went up by 1.3% yesterday, and closed at 4,205.45. CAC went up by 1.24% yesterday, and closed at 7,319.18.

Meanwhile, Hang Seng dips 1.93% yesterday and closed at 19,100.

The index has been trending positively for about 2 months. The Nasdaq has managed to gain 25.61% so far this year despite trading at lows around 10,200 previously.
