US equities in free fall to start today's session

  • Bright Health moves 4.35% as session gets underway IShares Trust – iShares iBonds Dec 2021 Term Treasury ETF (down 0.039%) has also underperformed today.
  • European markets are down as FTSE is down by 0.62%, slips to 7,236.68

A new trading session is underway and the leading indices are dropping — Dow Jones drawing back 0.22% to 30,754. S&P 500 slipping 0.25% and closing at 3,863.63. Nasdaq trades at 11,427 after losing 0.19%.

European markets have struggled to gain ground and are now trading lower midway through the session. Asia-Pacific markets are currently lower as trading gets underway.

The earnings season is coming to an end and Adobe and Autozone Inc have release their reports.

Looking ahead, ongoing depreciation may be prolonged as United States Crude Oil Inventories expected to decline to 833,000 while its preceding data was 2.44 million, data will be available Wednesday.

Furthermore, United States Interest Rate figure is projected at 3.25. It previously stood at 2.5; data will be released Wednesday. United States Building Permits (Aug) scheduled to come out tomorrow at 12:30 UTC.

While markets are generally down so far today, some stocks outperformed such as Wix gained 9.04% to reach $80.36.

Bright Health is currently trading at $1.32 after declining 4.35%. IShares Trust – iShares iBonds Dec 2021 Term Treasury ETF (down 0.039%) has also underperformed today.

Today's losses are adding to a 5 day bearish run, during which Bright Health Group Inc. lost 30 cents of its value.

IShares Trust – iShares iBonds Dec 2021 Term Treasury ETF has been pretty quiet for the last a month, trading mostly flat and moving by only 0.02 cents on average.
