A slow down? After four days of going up, the Nikkei is flat today, hovering around 27,343.

After ending yesterday at 27,400, Nikkei traded in a 27,300 – 27,500 range before settling at 27,343.

While the Nikkei is pretty flat so far today, mixed performances are seen elsewhere as having closed the previous session at 2,428.57, KOSPI Composite Index is up 1.44% today to currently trade at around 2,463.49. Having closed the previous session at 22,045, Hang Seng is up 1.71% today to currently trade at around 22,422. ASX 200 is down to 7,468.3, losing 22.1 points, after closing at 7,490.4 in the preceding trading session.

Data to be released later is expected to clarify investor sentiment while boosting price action volatility as Japan Tokyo Core CPI (YoY) (Jan) will be released today at 23:30 UTC. Japan CPI Tokyo Ex Food and Energy (MoM) (Jan) is expected today at 23:30 UTC. Japan CFTC JPY speculative net positions scheduled to come out tomorrow at 20:30 UTC.

The Nikkei hit a significant low of 15.42 around 4 months ago, but has since recovered 177,559%.
