A slow down? After three days of going up, CAC 40 is flat today, hovering around 6,701.22.

CAC trades at 6,701.22, after ending Wednesday at 6,707.32.

CAC 40's state is reflected by market data as highly important GDP data from Germany beat analyst expectations of 0.3 with a reading of 0.4. Data for Germany Business Climate Index published yesterday at 09:00 UTC came out at 86.3, beating projections of 85 and showing improvement over the preceding figure of 84.5. Data for Germany GDP released today at 07:00 UTC is better than expected with 1.2%, but worse than previous figure of 1.7%.

While CAC 40 is pretty flat so far today, mixed performances are seen elsewhere as Hang Seng is trading around 17,574 (down 87.32 points). ASX 200 gained 0.24% and is currently trading at 7,259.5. Dow Jones improves 0.4% to trade around 34,330.

Data to be released later is expected to clarify investor sentiment while boosting price action volatility as Euro Zone ECB's De Guindos speech is scheduled today at 17:00 UTC. Euro Zone CFTC EUR speculative net positions is scheduled for today at 19:30 UTC.

The index has been trending positively for about a month. CAC 40 is up 43,400% from the significant low of 15.42 it hit 2 months ago.
