A slow down? After three days of going up, CAC 40 is flat today, hovering around 6,712.48.

CAC recovers back to 6,712.48 today after dipping down to 6,686.63, in a session that follows a previous closing value of 6,707.32.

Uncertainty around CAC is reflected by published market data as data for Germany GDP published today at 07:00 UTC came out at 0.4, beating projections of 0.3 and showing improvement over the preceding figure of 0.1. Data for Germany Business Climate Index published yesterday at 09:00 UTC came out at 86.3, beating projections of 85 and showing improvement over the preceding figure of 84.5. Data for Germany GDP released today at 07:00 UTC is better than expected with 1.2%, but worse than previous figure of 1.7%.

While CAC is pretty flat so far today, mixed performances are seen elsewhere as Dow Jones is up 0.53%. FTSE rises 0.27% to trade around 7,486.67. Hang Seng closed at 17,574 (down 0.49%).

Furthermore, the market is looking at Euro Zone CFTC EUR speculative net positions scheduled to come out today at 19:30 UTC.

The index has been trending positively for about a month. Having set a significant high of 7,376.37 2 months ago, CAC is trading 43,400% lower.
