A slow down: after three days of going up, the DAX was flat today and closed at 14,541.

This uncertain state for the DAX is reflected by published market data as Germany GDP beat the 0.3 projections, with 0.4. Data for Germany Business Climate Index published yesterday at 09:00 UTC came out at 86.3, beating projections of 85 and showing improvement over the preceding figure of 84.5. Germany GDP beat the 1.1% projections, with 1.2%.

While the DAX was pretty flat today, mixed performances were seen elsewhere as FTSE went up by 0.27% today, and closed at 7,486.67. Dow Jones is trading around 34,354 after ending today's session at 34,200 (up 0.47% today). After ending today's session at 17,661, Hang Seng lost 87.32 points and is trading around 17,574.

Data to be released Monday might clear up some of the market fog as Euro Zone CFTC EUR speculative net positions will be released today at 19:30 UTC.

The index has been trending positively for about a month. The DAX hit a significant low of 15.42 around 2 months ago, but has since recovered 94,200%.
