After 11 months hiatus, EUR/CAD is back at the 1.4618 level

While yesterday ended at 1.4547, today, EUR/CAD rallied above 1.4618 for the first time in 11 months and gained 69 pips — now trading at 1.4616.

EUR/CAD is currently trading at 1.4616 following the release of BOC Press Conference data from the Canada.

On the flip side, highly important Business Climate Index data from Germany beat analyst expectations of 90.2 with a reading of 90.2.

At the same time, Canada Interest Rate came out at 4.5, while a consensus of analysts was expecting 4.5. France Jobseekers Total released today at 11:00 UTC is better than expected at 2.82 million but down from preceding data of 2.81 million according to new data.

Elsewhere, other currency pairs are also gaining ground as having closed the previous session at 1.8972, GBP/NZD is up 0.88% today to currently trade at around 1.9139. Having closed the previous session at 1.6479, GBP/CAD is up 0.82% today to currently trade at around 1.6615.

While EUR/CAD is up today, these currencies are lagging behind: USD/SGD dips 0.55% to trade around 1.3121.

Also worthy of note, Canada Wholesale Sales (MoM) is scheduled for tomorrow at 13:30 UTC.
