After four consecutive days of gains, the Nikkei is down 100 points today

Struggling to find upward momentum, Nikkei has shed 100 points to currently trade at 27,300 as it ranges between 27,300 and 27,500 so far today.

In the meantime, negative performances are also seen in other markets, after ending yesterday's session at 7,490.4, ASX 200 lost 22.1 points and is trading around 7,468.3.

Positive performances can be seen by looking at other markets as Hang Seng is up 1.73% to 22,426. Having closed the previous session at 2,428.57, KOSPI Composite Index is up 0.89% today to currently trade at around 2,450.26.

Furthermore, Japan Tokyo Core CPI (YoY) (Jan) is scheduled for today at 23:30 UTC. Japan CPI Tokyo Ex Food and Energy (MoM) (Jan) scheduled to come out today at 23:30 UTC. Japan CFTC JPY speculative net positions is scheduled for tomorrow at 20:30 UTC.

The Nikkei hit a significant low of 15.42 around 4 months ago, but has since recovered 177,559%.
