Aussie-Dollar records flat yesterday on the back of 6th straight day of declines

Yesterday at a glance: AUD/USD closed at 0.6518 yesterday after ranging between 0.6493 and 0.6545.

This move comes while some more positive signs for the Australian dollar are out as United States Core Durable Goods Orders published yesterday at 12:30 UTC came out at -0.2%, falling short of the 0% projections and continuing its decline from the previous 0.3% figure.

On the flip side, Australia Retail Sales fell short of the 0.3% projections, with new data of 0%.

Meanwhile, Australia CFTC AUD speculative net positions released yesterday at 20:30 UTC with a figure of -49,100, while the previous figure was -53,600.

A look at other currencies also shows bullish price action as notably, GBP/NZD rose 0.52% yesterday and closed at 2.0311. GBP/JPY went up by 0.64% yesterday, and closed at 173.63. USD/JPY is trading around 140.62 after ending yesterday's session at 140.05 (up 0.41% today).

The Australian dollar is now trading 11.49% away from its significant high of 0.7356 first tested 7 months ago.
