Change of course? After three days of going up, Euro-Aussie dollar down 21 pips yesterday

A quick look at yesterday: bearish sentiment ensured EUR/AUD finished yesterday's session lower. However, despite the downward bias, Euro-Aussie dollar etched out a distinct 1.642 to 1.6516 session range.

Australia Retail Sales published yesterday at 01:30 UTC came out at 0%, falling short of the 0.3% projections and continuing its decline from the previous 0.4% figure.

Amid the market gloom, Australia CFTC AUD speculative net positions released yesterday at 20:30 UTC with a figure of -49,100, while the previous figure was -53,600. Euro Zone CFTC EUR speculative net positions released yesterday at 20:30 UTC with a figure of 173,700, while the previous figure was 187,100.

Though Euro-Aussie dollar has been dropping, other pairs have been performing better: GBP/NZD leaps up 0.52% yesterday and closed at 2.0311. GBP/JPY went up by 0.64% yesterday, and closed at 173.63. Notably, EUR/JPY rose 0.43% yesterday and closed at 150.22.

The past 3 months have been positive for Euro-Aussie dollar as it added 5.28% compared to its 3-month low of 1.4289.
