End of a slump? After three successive days of depreciation, the Cocoa future was up $50 Friday

A quick look at Friday: Cocoa climbs 1.86% to close at $2,738 per metric tonne Friday.

While Cocoa is higher so far today, these Softs commodities are underperforming: Cotton lost 2.02% Friday and closed at $79.16. After ending Friday's session at $180.05, Coffee lost $3.4 and is trading around $176.65. Sugar lost 0.43% Friday and closed at $20.76.

Over the past 18 days, CME Cocoa has retreated 5.78% from a noteworthy peak of $2,853.
