Energy in focus as bullish West Texas crude posts 1.87% gain

Tentatively higher from an earlier low of $76.89, Crude Oil is up to $79.4 per barrel today, adding $1.46, or 1.87%, to yesterday's closing price of $77.94.

A look at other Energy also shows upside as Heating Oil moves up 1.62% to trade around $3.41. Brent Crude Oil is up 1.26%.

While WTI crude is higher so far today, these Energy commodities are underperforming: Natural Gas is down 16.3 cents from the beginning of the session and now trades around $7.14.

US crude oil is now trading 17.96% below its 3-month high of $124.77.
