EUR/CAD set for weak finish today; down 0.19% to 1.46 with 37 minutes before close

Trading lower, EUR/CAD is currently down 28 pips as it ranges between 1.4585 and 1.4649 so far today.

On the flip side, Germany GDP released earlier showed a marked improvement to -0.3 from the preceding data of -0.4, but fell short of the -0.1 figure forecast by a consensus of market analysts.

Meanwhile, Euro Zone CFTC EUR speculative net positions released today at 20:30 UTC with a figure of 173,700, while the previous figure was 187,100. Canada Wholesale Sales (MoM) came out at 1.6.

Positive performances can be seen by looking at other currencies as GBP/NZD is up 0.52%. GBP/JPY surges 0.66% to trade around 173.67. USD/JPY is up 0.41%.

Having set a peak of 1.5086 around 23 days ago, EUR/CAD is now trading 3.04% below this level.
