Euro-Pound currency pair adds 15 pips or 0.19%

Tentatively higher from an earlier low of 0.8586, EUR/GBP is up to 0.8607 today, adding 15 pips, or 0.19%, to yesterday's closing price of 0.8591.

On the flip side, Germany GDP came out at 0.4, better than analyst estimates of 0.3 and improving upon the previous reading of 0.1. Germany Business Climate Index beat analyst expectations of 85 and the previous reading of 84.5 with new data of 86.3.

At the same time, data for Germany GDP released today at 07:00 UTC is better than expected with 1.2%, but worse than previous figure of 1.7%.

Elsewhere, other currency pairs are also gaining ground as EUR/JPY is up 0.43%. USD/JPY is up 0.38%. Having closed the previous session at 1.6619, EUR/NZD is up 0.44% today to currently trade at around 1.6692.

Furthermore, the market is looking at Euro Zone ECB's De Guindos speech is scheduled today at 17:00 UTC. United Kingdom CFTC GBP speculative net positions is scheduled for today at 19:30 UTC. Euro Zone CFTC EUR speculative net positions scheduled to come out today at 19:30 UTC.

As things stand, Euro-Pound is 12.2% away from a significant high of 0.9785, first set a month ago.
