Intel gains 5.84% within $27.1 to $29.09 daily range

S&P 500 built upon its previous close around 4,151.28 to gain 1.3%, before closing the session at 4,205.45. Nasdaq increases 2.19% before ending the session at 12,976. Intel's gains were in line with the Technology sector which was up 0.534% as a whole.

11 months ago the hardware manufacturer reached a significant high of $44.84 but has consequently lost 38.89% since then. So far this year, it has been doing worse than the Nasdaq by 11.51%. The company has a market cap of $120.96 billion with an average daily trading volume of 37.39 million shares. Intel expected revenue of $11 billion with an EPS of -4 cents.

Looking back, the firm's board declared a dividend of 12.5 cents per share on Wednesday, February 22nd for all shareholders on record up until Sunday, May 7th. Based on current prices, the move allows shareholders to receive an annual dividend yield of 1.72% this year to be paid on Thursday, June 1st.

A look at other technology stocks also showed bullish price action as Qualcomm traded at $110.35 after closing yesterday's trading day at $104 (up 6.09%). Accenture plc Class A (Ireland) added 4.06% to its value, and traded at $303.6. Adobe added 5.95% to its value, and traded at $415.39.
