Markets are down midway through the trading session

  • Sotera Health moves 16.07% halfway through the session As things stand, Bright Health (down 4%) and iShares Trust – iShares iBonds Dec 2021 Term Treasury ETF (down 0.039%) are underperforming today
  • European markets are down as CAC is down by 1.44%, falls to 5,974

With the trading session well underway, the leading indices are slipping — Dow Jones slipping 1.06% and closing at 30,700. S&P 500 trades at 3,860.68 after losing 1%. Nasdaq slipping 0.67% and closing at 11,458.

European markets have struggled to gain ground and are now trading lower midway through the session. Asia-Pacific markets are trending positively as ASX 200 added 1.29% to trade at 6,806.4.

The earnings season is coming to an end and Adobe & FedEx Corp have release their reports.

While price action maintains a negative bias, United States Building Permits (Aug) came out at 1.52 million, while a consensus of analysts was expecting 1.61 million. United States Housing Starts (Aug) released today at 12:30 UTC with a figure of 1.57 million, while the previous figure was 1.40 million. United States Building Permits came out at -10%.

Looking ahead, ongoing depreciation may be prolonged as tomorrow at 14:30 UTC data for United States Crude Oil Inventories will be released, with an expected decline to 2.32 million from the preceding figure of 2.44 million. United States Initial Jobless Claims expected to decline to 218,000 while its preceding data was 213,000, data will be available Thursday.

Furthermore, United States Interest Rate is expected tomorrow at 18:00 UTC.
