Markets are down midway through the trading session

  • European markets are down as FTSE falls to 7,007.34 (down 2.13%).

With the trading session well underway, the leading indices are slipping — Dow Jones trades at 29,600 after losing 1.53%. S&P 500 drawing back 1.8% to 3,690.36. Nasdaq slipping 1.76% and closing at 10,872.

European markets have struggled to gain ground and are now trading lower midway through the session. Asia-Pacific markets have struggled to gain ground and are now trading lower midway through the session.

The earnings season is coming to an end and Costco and Accenture plc Class A (Ireland) have release their reports.

Market's down-tick coincides with some negative macro data published earlier as following a previous reading of 2.44 million, Crude Oil Inventories in United States released Wednesday fell short of the 2.16 million figure expected by analysts with an actual reading of 1.14 million.

Markets are trading lower today despite some positive data published earlier as highly important Initial Jobless Claims data from United States beat analyst expectations of 218,000 with a reading of 213,000.

While price action maintains a negative bias, United States Interest Rate released Wednesday with a figure of 3.25, while the previous figure was 2.5.

Furthermore, United States Fed Chair Powell speech is expected today at 18:00 UTC.

Playtika is trading at $10.3, crashes 5.59%. As things stand, the Pound (down 2.91%), GBP/NZD (down 0.939%) are also underperforming today.

Playtika crashes after losing 5.59%, down to $10.3. The company has a market cap of $4.25 billion with an average daily volume of 3.32 million shares. So far in 2022, it has been outperforming the Nasdaq by 3.38%.
