Natural Gas set for weak finish today; down 4.72% to $2.2 per MMBtu with 14 minutes before close

Late into the session, Natural Gas loses 10.9 cents (4.72%), currently trading at $2.2 per MMBtu.

Core Durable Goods Orders in United States fell short of market expectations (0%) with a reading of -0.2%, continuing the decline from the previous figure of 0.3%. Highly important Pending Home Sales data from United States beat analyst expectations of 0.5% with a reading of 0%.

While price action maintains a negative bias, United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Apr) came out at 0.4, while a consensus of analysts was expecting 0.3.

Positive performances can be seen by looking at other Energy markets as Crude Oil goes up 1.45% to trade around $72.87. Having closed the previous session at $2.35, Heating Oil is up 1.24% today to currently trade at around $2.38. Having closed the previous session at $76.26, Brent Crude Oil is up 1.21% today to currently trade at around $77.18.

Having set a significant high of $9.68 9 months ago, NYMEX Gas is trading 76.17% lower.
