Risk-off mood drags Natural Gas 4.72% lower

Yesterday at a glance: after a mostly steady day, Natural Gas lost 10.9 cents late into the session and closed at $2.2 per MMBtu.

Data from United States concerning Core Durable Goods Orders was released yesterday at 12:30 UTC. Newly published figures emphasized continued decline from last month's figure of 0.3% to -0.2% this month.

Meanwhile, United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Apr) released yesterday at 12:30 UTC with a figure of 0.4, while the previous figure was 0.3. United States CFTC Crude Oil speculative net positions released yesterday at 20:30 UTC with a figure of 193,100, while the previous figure was 191,500.

Though US Natural Gas has been dropping, other Energy have been performing better: Crude Oil went up by 1.45% yesterday, and closed at $72.87. Heating Oil added 1.24% and closed around $2.35 yesterday. Notably, Brent Crude Oil rose 1.21% yesterday and closed at $76.26.

NYMEX Gas traded as high as $9.68 before shedding 68.79% lower over the past six months.
