Risk-on mood helps VOO post 1.3% gain today

A quick look at today: after finishing yesterday at $380.92, Vanguard S&P 500 ETF went up to $386.57 before paring its losses and closing at $385.87.

On the flip side, United States Core Durable Goods Orders fell short of the 0% projections, with new data of -0.2%. United States Pending Home Sales released earlier showed a marked improvement to 0% from the preceding data of -5.2%, but fell short of the 0.5% figure forecast by a consensus of market analysts.

Meanwhile, United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Apr) released today at 12:30 UTC with a figure of 0.4, while the previous figure was 0.3.

Other markets are also showing gains as Costco added 4.26% and closed around $486.55 today. Intel is trading around $29 after ending today's session at $27.4 (up 5.84% today). Netflix jumps 5.54% today and closed at $359.

Vanguard S&P 500 ETF is now trading 16.26% above the significant low ($327.64) it slumped to 7 months ago.
