Risk-on mood pushes the Dow 1% higher

A quick look at yesterday: after finishing Thursday at 32,765, Dow Jones went up to 33,162 before paring its losses and closing at 33,100.

On the flip side, highly important Core Durable Goods Orders data from United States beat analyst expectations of 0% with a reading of -0.2%.

At the same time, United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Apr) released yesterday at 12:30 UTC with a figure of 0.4, while the previous figure was 0.3. United States CFTC Crude Oil speculative net positions came out at 193,100.

The Dow shows positive signs, other assets are also on par: Nasdaq added 2.19% and closed around 12,700 yesterday. S&P 500 went up by 1.3% yesterday, and closed at 4,205.45.

Meanwhile, after ending yesterday's session at 19,100, Hang Seng lost 353.08 points and is trading around 18,747.

The Dow hit a significant low of 28,726 around 7 months ago, but has since recovered 14.06%.
