Risk-on mood pushes the Dow Jones 1% higher

A quick look at yesterday: after finishing Thursday at 32,765, Dow Jones went up to 33,162 before paring its losses and closing at 33,100.

On the flip side, following a previous reading of 0.3%, Core Durable Goods Orders in United States released yesterday at 12:30 UTC fell short of the 0% figure expected by analysts with an actual reading of -0.2%.

At the same time, United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Apr) released yesterday at 12:30 UTC with a figure of 0.4, while the previous figure was 0.3. United States CFTC Crude Oil speculative net positions released yesterday at 20:30 UTC with a figure of 193,100, while the previous figure was 191,500.

The Dow Jones shows positive signs, other assets are also on par: Nasdaq went up by 2.19% yesterday, and closed at 12,976. S&P 500 added 1.3% and closed around 4,151.28 yesterday.

Meanwhile, Hang Seng drops 1.93% yesterday and closed at 19,100.

After hitting an important low of 28,726 approximately 7 months ago, the Dow Jones has bounced back 14.06% since.
