Risk-on mood pushes the S&P 1.3% higher

A quick look at yesterday: the S&P went up to 4,205.45 yesterday, gaining 1.3%.

On the flip side, following a previous reading of 0.3%, Core Durable Goods Orders in United States released yesterday at 12:30 UTC fell short of the 0% figure expected by analysts with an actual reading of -0.2%.

Meanwhile, United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Apr) released yesterday at 12:30 UTC with a figure of 0.4, while the previous figure was 0.3. United States CFTC Crude Oil speculative net positions released yesterday at 20:30 UTC with a figure of 193,100, while the previous figure was 191,500.

The S&P 500 shows positive signs, other assets are also on par: notably, Nasdaq rose 2.19% yesterday and closed at 12,700. CAC is trading around 7,319.18 after ending yesterday's session at 7,229.27 (up 1.24% today).

At the same time, after ending yesterday's session at 19,100, Hang Seng lost 353.08 points and is trading around 18,747.

The index has been trending positively for about 2 months. The S&P 500 is up 16.05% from the significant low of 3,577 it hit 7 months ago.
