Risk-on sentiment allowed VOO to post 1.3% gain yesterday

A quick look at yesterday: after finishing Thursday at $380.92, Vanguard S&P 500 ETF went up to $386.57 before paring its losses and closing at $385.87.

Nevertheless, Core Durable Goods Orders in United States fell short of market expectations (0%) with a reading of -0.2%, continuing the decline from the previous figure of 0.3%.

At the same time, United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Apr) came out at 0.4, while a consensus of analysts was expecting 0.3. United States CFTC Crude Oil speculative net positions released yesterday at 20:30 UTC with a figure of 193,100, while the previous figure was 191,500.

Other markets are also showing gains as notably, Costco rose 4.26% yesterday and closed at $486.55. Intel added 5.84% and closed around $27.4 yesterday. Netflix is trading around $378.88 after ending yesterday's session at $359 (up 5.54% today).

This year has been a bright one for Vanguard S&P 500 ETF after trading as low as $327.64 and going on to appreciate by 10.4% year to date.
