Risk-on sentiment allowed VOO to post 1.3% gain yesterday

A quick look at yesterday: after finishing Thursday at $380.92, Vanguard S&P 500 ETF went up to $386.57 before paring its losses and closing at $385.87.

On the flip side, data from United States concerning Core Durable Goods Orders was released yesterday at 12:30 UTC. Newly published figures emphasized continued decline from last month's figure of 0.3% to -0.2% this month.

Meanwhile, United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Apr) released yesterday at 12:30 UTC with a figure of 0.4, while the previous figure was 0.3. United States CFTC Crude Oil speculative net positions came out at 193,100.

Other markets are also showing gains as Costco went up by 4.26% yesterday, and closed at $507.26. Intel went up by 5.84% yesterday, and closed at $29. Netflix added 5.54% and closed around $359 yesterday.

This year has been a bright one for Vanguard S&P 500 ETF after trading as low as $327.64 and going on to appreciate by 10.4% year to date.
