Slow down? Following a three day winning streak, the Dow faltered today; now hovering around 33,744

Today at a glance: Dow Jones closed a flat day of trading at 33,744 today after ending yesterday at 33,734.

Uncertainty around the Dow Jones is reflected by published market data as United States Crude Oil Inventories fell short of the 971,000 projections, with new data of 533,000. United States 5-Year Note Auction released today at 18:00 UTC with a figure of 3.53, while the previous figure was 3.973. United States Cushing Crude Oil Inventories came out at 4.27 million.

While the Dow was pretty flat today, mixed performances were seen elsewhere as KOSPI Composite Index went up by 1.39% today, and closed at 2,428.57. Hang Seng went up by 1.82% today, and closed at 22,045. ASX 200 is down to 7,468.3, losing 22.1 points, after ending the previous session around 7,490.4.

Data to be released tomorrow might clear up some of the market fog as United States Core Durable Goods Orders projected to decline to -0.2% while previous data was 0.1%; data will be released tomorrow at 13:30 UTC. United States GDP projected to come out at 2.6 — worse than previous data of 3.2; data will be released tomorrow at 13:30 UTC. Projections for United States Initial Jobless Claims are set for a continuation of decline with 205,000 while previous data was 190,000; data will be released tomorrow at 13:30 UTC.

The Dow Jones is up 17.44% from the significant low of 28,726 it hit 3 months ago.
