Starbucks slides 1.72%; closes lower for six consecutive days

Friday at a glance: during Friday's session, Starbucks toiled and struggled for upward momentum before closing at $98.7. By the close, the the coffee roaster and retailer suffered a $1.73 or 1.72% loss.

Starbucks was not the only decliner in the consumer discretionary sector; Toyota went down 1.78%, closed at $135.9. McDonald's went down to $267.2, losing 1.25% after it closed at $270.57 Friday. Walt Disney lost 1.16% Friday and closed at $93.2.

Trending downwards for around a month. A month ago the famous coffee brand reached a significant high of $110 but has consequently lost 8.69% since then.
