The Cocoa future set for weak finish today; down 0.56% to $3,000 per metric tonne with 38 minutes before close

Cocoa is down to $3,000 per metric tonne, after ending yesterday at $3,017. Overall, a 0.56% loss or $17 today.

United States Core Durable Goods Orders published today at 12:30 UTC came out at -0.2%, falling short of the 0% projections and continuing its decline from the previous 0.3% figure. Highly important Pending Home Sales data from United States beat analyst expectations of 0.5% with a reading of 0%.

While price action maintains a negative bias, United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Apr) came out at 0.4, while a consensus of analysts was expecting 0.3.

Taking a look at other Softs commodities, negative performances are evident as Coffee withdraws 1% to trade around $180.85.

Positive performances can be seen by looking at other Softs markets as Sugar is up 2.34%. Cotton soars 4.39% to trade around $83.64.

The Cocoa future reached a significant high of $3,071 around 7 days ago but has lost 1.76% since then.
