The FTSE closed Friday at 7,335.4 after six straight days of drops

Friday at a glance: bearish sentiment ensured FTSE finished Friday's session lower. However, despite the downward bias, the FTSE etched out a distinct 7,309.3 to 7,510.47 session range.

In the meantime, negative performances are also seen in other markets, CAC is down to 6,925.4, losing 100.32 points, after ending the previous session around 7,025.72. Dow Jones lost 1.19% Friday and closed at 32,247. After ending Friday's session at 14,967, DAX lost 198.9 points and is trading around 14,768.

The index has been trending lower for about 29 days. Having set a significant high of 8,012.53 a month ago, the FTSE is trading 7.52% lower.
