The FTSE closed Friday at 7,335.4 after six straight days of drops

Friday at a glance: bearish sentiment ensured FTSE finished Friday's session lower. However, despite the downward bias, the FTSE etched out a distinct 7,309.3 to 7,510.47 session range.

In the meantime, negative performances are also seen in other markets, after ending Friday's session at 7,025.72, CAC lost 100.32 points and is trading around 6,925.4. After ending Friday's session at 32,247, Dow Jones lost 384.57 points and is trading around 31,862. DAX is down to 14,768, losing 198.9 points, after ending the previous session around 14,967.

The index has been trending lower for about 29 days. The FTSE has fallen back around 7.52% over the past a month, from a notable high of 8,012.53.
