The Nasdaq index sheds 86.76 points (-0.74%) as market bears take the reigns

A quick look at Friday: overall, Nasdaq shed around 86.76 points or 0.74% and ended Friday's session at 11,631.

In the meantime, negative performances are also seen in other markets, after ending Friday's session at 7,025.72, CAC lost 100.32 points and is trading around 6,925.4. Dow Jones retreats 1.19% Friday and closed at 32,247. DAX goes down 1.33% Friday and closed at 14,967.

The index has been trending lower for about a month. The Nasdaq has recovered 14.73% since descending to a significant low of 10,200 around 2 months ago.
