The Nasdaq rallied to 13,000 for the first time in 9 months

After ending yesterday at 12,700, Nasdaq rallied to 13,000 today, hitting its highest point in 9 months. It later lost 24.31 points and closed at 12,976.

On the flip side, data from United States concerning Core Durable Goods Orders was released today at 12:30 UTC. Newly published figures emphasized continued decline from last month's figure of 0.3% to -0.2% this month. United States Pending Home Sales fell short of the 0.5% projections, with new data of 0%.

Meanwhile, United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Apr) came out at 0.4, while a consensus of analysts was expecting 0.3.

Other markets are also showing gains as S&P 500 increases 1.3% today and closed at 4,151.28. CAC goes up 1.24% today and closed at 7,229.27.

Meanwhile, Hang Seng lost 1.93% today and closed at 19,100.

The index has been trending positively for about 2 months. Having set a significant low of 10,200 4 months ago, the Nasdaq is trading 24.33% higher.
