The Nasdaq retreats 24.31 points from 9 months high

After ending Thursday at 12,700, Nasdaq rallied to 13,000 yesterday, hitting its highest point in 9 months. It later lost 24.31 points and closed at 12,976.

Nevertheless, United States Core Durable Goods Orders fell short of the 0% projections, with new data of -0.2%.

Meanwhile, United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Apr) released yesterday at 12:30 UTC with a figure of 0.4, while the previous figure was 0.3. Fresh CFTC Crude Oil speculative net positions data from United States came out at 193,100.

Other markets are also showing gains as S&P 500 added 1.3% and closed around 4,151.28 yesterday. CAC increases 1.24% yesterday and closed at 7,229.27.

At the same time, Hang Seng is down to 18,747, losing 353.08 points, after ending the previous session around 19,100.

The index has been trending positively for about 2 months. The Nasdaq has managed to gain 25.61% so far this year despite trading at lows around 10,200 previously.
