The Nikkei closed today at 27,400, after five straight days of gains

Today at a glance: with a daily low of 27,176, Nikkei closed today at 27,400, after ending yesterday at 27,300 and gaining 100 points (0.35%).

Meanwhile, Japan Services PMI came out at 52.4, while a consensus of analysts was expecting 51.4.

Other markets are also showing gains as KOSPI Composite Index went up by 1.39% today, and closed at 2,428.57. Hang Seng went up by 1.82% today, and closed at 22,045.

Meanwhile, ASX 200 lost 0.3% today and closed at 7,490.4.

Elsewhere, Japan Tokyo Core CPI (YoY) (Jan) scheduled to come out tomorrow at 23:30 UTC. Japan CPI Tokyo Ex Food and Energy (MoM) (Jan) is scheduled for tomorrow at 23:30 UTC.

The Nikkei has recovered 176,938% since descending to a significant low of 15.42 around 4 months ago.
