The trading session is well on its way, the leading indices are climbing up — Dow Jones up to 30,846, gaining 0.45%. S&P 500 goes up 0.5%, trading at 3,875.35. Nasdaq up 0.36%, trading at 11,466.

European session in progress; markets are rising as FTSE increases by 0.63%, reaching 7,237.64. Asia-Pacific markets are down as ASX 200 is down by 1.56%, dips to 6,700.2

The earnings season is coming to an end and Adobe & General Mills Inc have release their reports.

On a negative note, the market received some disappointing news as highly important Crude Oil Inventories data from United States beat analyst expectations of 2.16 million with a reading of 1.14 million.

Today's rise takes place amid mixed market indicators — United States Existing Home Sales (Aug) came out at 4.8 million, while a consensus of analysts was expecting 4.7 million. United States Building Permits (Aug) released yesterday at 12:30 UTC with a figure of 1.52 million, while the previous figure was 1.69 million.

Furthermore, the market is looking at United States Initial Jobless Claims expected to decline to 218,000 while its preceding data was 213,000, data will be available tomorrow at 12:30 UTC.

Elsewhere, United States Interest Rate figure is projected at 3.25. It previously stood at 2.5; data will be released today at 18:00 UTC. United States FOMC Statement is expected today at 18:00 UTC.

While indices are generally bullish today, some individual stock performances stood out as General Mills trades at $80.24 having gained 6.4%.

The company has a market cap of $47.80 billion with an average daily volume of 3.47 million shares. So far in 2022, it has performed better than the S&P 500 by 36.51%.

General Mills reported mixed earnings results today, with EPS at 1.11 (compared to a consensus of 0.9925 Earnings Per Share) and revenue of $4.71 billion.
