Travelers erases gains after record high, trades at $191.03

Travelers Companies Inc lost $3.47 and now trades at $191.03, following an impressive jump to $194.51 yesterday — a significant recent high. As things stand, trading volume is at 1.28 million, above the 21-day average of 1.24 million.

With the trading session well underway, S&P 500 is down to 4,004 — a drop of 0.33%. Travelers is flat, while the Financial Services sector seems to be doing slightly worse (-0.059%).

Looking back to Wednesday, October 19th, Travelers disclosed to the market its decision to pay a dividend of 93 cents per share for all shareholders on record up until Friday, December 9th. With the payment made on Friday, December 30th, the decision means the firm's shareholders could obtain an annual dividend yield of 1.95% this year.
