Upwardly mobile CME Gold extends gains by $2.3; closes session 0.12% higher

A quick look at today: after ending yesterday at $1,943.7, Gold went up to $1,957 only to drop back, yet still traded well overall and closed at $1,946 per ounce today.

This move comes while some more positive signs for CME Gold are out as highly important Core Durable Goods Orders data from United States beat analyst expectations of 0% with a reading of -0.2%. United States Pending Home Sales improved upon its previous reading of -5.2% with a new data release of 0%.

At the same time, United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Apr) came out at 0.4, while a consensus of analysts was expecting 0.3.

This rally in Gold's price coincides with other Metals as Copper soars 2.33% today and closed at $3.59. Silver jumps 2.34% today and closed at $22.91.

Over the past 22 days, Gold has retreated 5.59% from a noteworthy peak of $2,058.7.
