Upwardly mobile Sterling-Canadian dollar extends gains by 100 pips; closes session 0.6% higher

Friday at a glance: GBP/CAD rose 100 pips to close at 1.6716 Friday which makes for a move of 0.6%.

Meanwhile, USD/JPY lost 1.33% Friday and closed at 133.59. USD/SGD lost 0.44% Friday and closed at 1.3456. EUR/NZD falls 0.75% Friday and closed at 1.7137.

The currency pair has been trending positively for about a month. After setting a supportive marker at 1.4665 around 5 months ago, Sterling-Canadian dollar is now trading 13.3% higher.
