US markets closed higher yesterday, Asia-Pacific markets rising so far

  • Top laggard Sotera Health gave up $4.9, or 33.27% yesterday Bright Health had a negative day yesterday (down 9.42%).
  • Asia-Pacific markets are up as ASX 200 leaps up to 6,798.3 (up 1.17%).

Before today's session: markets closed higher yesterday, as Dow Jones gained 0.64% and closed at 31,020. S&P 500 ended the session at 3,900 after a 0.69% gain. Nasdaq closed the day at 11,535, having gained 0.76%.

US markets are now currently closed and set to reopen today; meanwhile, Asia-Pacific session in progress; markets are rising as ASX 200 added 1.17% to trade at 6,798.3. European markets ended a mixed session yesterday whilst FTSE is down by 0.62%, reaching 7,236.68

The earnings season is coming to an end and Adobe & FedEx Corp have release their reports.

Furthermore, the market is looking at tomorrow at 14:30 UTC data for United States Crude Oil Inventories will be released, with an expected decline to 2.32 million from the preceding figure of 2.44 million.

Elsewhere, United States Interest Rate figure is projected at 3.25. It previously stood at 2.5; data will be released tomorrow at 18:00 UTC. United States Building Permits (Aug) is expected today at 12:30 UTC.

While most stocks did well yesterday, some did better than others as Outbrain trades at $3.74 having gained 3.6%.
