Verizon levels up 0.52% in yesterday's session; traders eye opening bell in 3 days time

Yesterday at a glance: the information and entertainment services company went up to $35, gaining 0.52%.

Verizon's uptick comes amid disappointing United States macroeconomic data released during the session – following a previous reading of 0.3%, Core Durable Goods Orders in United States released yesterday at 12:30 UTC fell short of the 0% figure expected by analysts with an actual reading of -0.2%.

Meanwhile, United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Apr) came out at 0.4, while a consensus of analysts was expecting 0.3. United States CFTC Crude Oil speculative net positions released yesterday at 20:30 UTC with a figure of 193,100, while the previous figure was 191,500.

This rally in Verizon's share price coincided with other communication services stocks as Netflix was up 5.54%. Meta Platforms traded at $262.04 after closing yesterday's trading day at $252.69 (up 3.7%). AT&T traded at $15.5 after closing yesterday's trading day at $15.15 (up 2.31%).

The information and entertainment services company reached a significant high of $52.09 around 11 months ago but has lost 33.15% since then.
