Weak sentiment sees Euro-Yen posting 0.79% loss

Friday at a glance: EUR/JPY drops 0.79% to close at 140.64 Friday.

Euro-Yen's value drop coincided with the fact that USD/JPY dips 1.33% Friday and closed at 133.59. After ending Friday's session at 1.3456, USD/SGD lost 59 pips and is trading around 1.3397. EUR/NZD lost 0.75% Friday and closed at 1.7137.

Furthermore, as things stand, upcoming Germany Producer Price Index data is projected to fall short of market expectations with newly published data of -1.6%, following on from the preceding figure of -1%. New data is set to be published tomorrow at 07:00 UTC. Euro Zone Trade Balance (Jan) will be released tomorrow at 10:00 UTC.

This year has been a bright one for Euro-Yen after trading as low as 128.26 and going on to appreciate by 2.43% year to date.
