West Texas crude set for strong finish this afternoon; up 1.45% to $72.87 per barrel with 13 minutes before close

After closing the previous trading day at $71.83, Crude Oil went up to $73.05 only to drop back; still positive overall today, now trading at $72.87 per barrel.

Nevertheless, highly important Core Durable Goods Orders data from United States beat analyst expectations of 0% with a reading of -0.2%. Highly important Pending Home Sales data from United States beat analyst expectations of 0.5% with a reading of 0%.

At the same time, United States Core PCE Price Index (MoM) (Apr) released today at 12:30 UTC with a figure of 0.4, while the previous figure was 0.3.

A look at other Energy also shows upside as Heating Oil improves 1.24% to trade around $2.38. Having closed the previous session at $76.26, Brent Crude Oil is up 1.21% today to currently trade at around $77.18.

At the same time, Natural Gas slides down 4.72% to trade around $2.2.

WTI crude oil hit a significant low of $68.25 around 23 days ago, but has since recovered 5.25%.
