Yesterday's lacklustre market sentiment sees EUR/CAD drop 0.19%

A quick look at yesterday: bearish sentiment ensured EUR/CAD finished yesterday's session lower. However, despite the downward bias, EUR/CAD etched out a distinct 1.4585 to 1.4649 session range.

Meanwhile, Euro Zone CFTC EUR speculative net positions released yesterday at 20:30 UTC with a figure of 173,700, while the previous figure was 187,100. Canada Wholesale Sales (MoM) released yesterday at 12:30 UTC with a figure of 1.6, while the previous figure was -0.1. Data for France Jobseekers Total released yesterday at 10:00 UTC is better than expected with 2.80 million, but worse than previous figure of 2.79 million.

Though EUR/CAD has been dropping, other pairs have been performing better: GBP/NZD went up by 0.52% yesterday, and closed at 2.0417. GBP/JPY is trading around 173.63 after ending yesterday's session at 172.53 (up 0.64% today). Notably, USD/JPY rose 0.41% yesterday and closed at 140.05.

Having set a peak of 1.5086 around 24 days ago, EUR/CAD is now trading 3.04% below this level.
